I love good food – cooking it, eating it, looking at pictures of it, and reading about it.  Which prompted me to contemplate writing about it.

I get such great joy out of other people’s food posts that I thought I might increase the wealth of beautiful food for people to contemplate on the web.  Plus, it will give me a reason to allow myself more time spent enjoying some of the things that I love best – preparing and enjoying beautiful things and sharing them with friends.

I live in the Pacific Northwest in an apartment with my cats and a kitchen far too small for all my desired cooking gadgets.  Some wonderful things can come out of small spaces, even with limited counter space.

I am lucky enough to be in the Portland metro area, which boasts an amazing food scene, tons of microbreweries, and beautiful vineyards just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
